About this service
UT Medicine’s Cancer Fertility Preservation service is the first comprehensive program of its kind in Central Texas. We care for patients age 13 and older who are preparing for cancer treatment, including chemotherapy, radiation or bone marrow transplant, and want to understand their fertility options.
Our team approaches every case individually. We encourage open conversations about your personal preferences, including religious and cultural beliefs, emotional concerns, future family goals and medical factors such as prognosis and genetic risks. Whether or not you were evaluated before starting treatment, we’re here to discuss your options and support your fertility planning at every stage — before, during and after cancer care.
