About this subspecialty

The Comprehensive Memory Center, a subspecialty within the Mulva Clinic for the Neurosciencesdiagnoses, treats and manages neurodegenerative conditions that affect memory, behavior and other cognitive functionsincluding Alzheimer’s disease, mild cognitive impairment, Lewy body dementia and other dementias in older adults and, in rare cases, younger adults.

Our team provides comprehensive, evidence-based evaluations and care, including neurological exams, neuropsychological testing, lab work, brain imaging, cognitive-communication therapy, counseling and patient education. We are dedicated to helping you and your care partners understand changes in memory and cognition, manage symptoms and maintain quality of life.

Our treatment approach

At UT Medicine, we take an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to your care. This means you will benefit from the expertise of multiple specialists across a variety of disciplines caring for you in one place — avoiding the need to schedule multiple appointments with providers at locations all over the city.

UT Medicine is anchored by Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, where we collaborate with colleagues to apply leading-edge research, diagnostic and treatment techniques to the diagnosis and treatment of your condition. Advanced imaging and lab testing are also available on-site if needed.
